and drinks provided are nutritious, appropriate for each child and prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
This unit applies to educators working in a range of education and care services.
The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation,
Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.
Please note : All practical skills for this unit need to be demonstrated in a regulated education and care service.
SITHKOP004 - Develop menus for special dietary requirments
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop menus and meal

plans for people who have special dietary needs for health, lifestyle and cultural reasons. It requires the
ability to identify the dietary requirements of customers, develop special menus and meal plans to meet
those requirements, cost menus and to monitor and evaluate the success of menu performance.
METS deliver both food handlers units via correspondence.
Cost: $160 per individual unit or $300 packaged together.
